Celebrate Grandparents' Day

The Kona Coffee Living History Farm, where one of the newest pieces of technology is a wheelbarrow, invites grandparents to the Farm on Monday, September 19 for Keiro no Hi or Grandparent’s Day. Children 17 and under are admitted free. Walk through the coffee and macadamia nut orchards with your grandchild, learn the methods used for farming “back when life was simpler,” tour the historic 1920’s farmhouse, where you may see musubi made in the kitchen, and visit with the donkey and chickens. Costumed interpreters are available to “talk story” and answer questions. The Farm is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Visit www.konahistorical.org or call 808-323-3222 for more information and directions.
