Details
Museum galleries are temporarily closed until February 10, 2023, while new exhibits are being installed. As a venue for the Art in Public Places Program of the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the Hawaii State Art Museum (HiSAM) features works of art primarily by artists with a connection to Hawaii (such as born/raised here, went to school here, worked here) with exhibits on topics of interest to communities in our state. Entry and admission are always free and family-friendly. First Fridays at HiSAM: every first Friday of the month (except for major holidays) the museum galleries are open from 6:00 - 9:00 pm and there is live entertainment either in the second floor lobby or courtyard. First Fridays at HiSAM are casual and family-friendly.
