Visit the beautifully restored state apartments, including the Blue Room, State Dining Room and Throne Room, where King Kalakaua and his sister and successor, Queen Liliuokalani, held lavish entertainments and conducted the diplomatic affairs of the kingdom. View the private living quarters of the royal family, and listen to the poignant story of Queen Liliuokalani’s imprisonment in an upstairs bedroom following the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. Tour the Palace Galleries that showcase the royal crowns, diplomatic orders, and personal jewelry of the royal family. See re-creations of the Palace Kitchen, China Storage Room and Chamberlain’s Office located nearby. Guided and audio tours of Iolani Palace are available Tuesday through Saturday. Ticket cost to the museum is: Guided $20 - Adults, $5 - Children 5-12; Audio Tour $13 - Adults, $5 - Children 5-12; Galleries: $6 - Adult, $3 - Children 5-12. Childen under 5 are free and admitted to Galleries only.
