夏威夷群岛的文化活动
每年,夏威夷群岛都会举办各种音乐节,以此庆祝夏威夷独具特色的乐器、音乐家和歌曲,赞美夏威夷音乐。7 月,威基基海滩卡皮欧拉尼公园音乐台 (Kapiolani Park Bandstand) 举办尤克里里音乐节 (Ukulele Festival)。许多游客以为尤克里里是夏威夷古代传承下来的一种乐器,但事实上,它是十九世纪末葡萄牙移民带到这里来的。如今,尤克里里 (ukulele) 仍然是音乐界的重要乐器之一,不仅是一种舞台乐器,也经常出现在家庭野餐或海滩休闲场合。
